Construction began on this beautiful church in 1772. It is a Taos landmark, and has been photographed and painted thousands of times. This is my contribution. This view is the rear of the church on a cold evening at sunset, February 2010.

Email me if you are interested in purchasing it.

Painted Desert Trees, Arizona

These were some trees I spotted near the Petrified Forest National Park, Visitor Center. It was early afternoon, and the sun was beating down on the desert. If you are ever in the area, be sure to stop. The petrified wood is interesting to see, but what makes a stop here special, are the amazing views of the Painted Desert.

The Back Gate, Taos

The Back Gate, Taos

This was actually painted back in February, as a gift for our friends, Julie and Fred Felix, who graciously allowed us to spend a couple of nights with them in their lovely house in Taos, New Mexico. In the excitement over our trip, I had forgotten to take a photo of the finished painting, so Julie took a photo for me. This is the back gate to their house. I used a photo that Julie had posted on her Facebook page as the reference for the painting.
